Me

My name is Iris Arellano, I am 28 years old and I am a single mom of a wonderful two year old.  I am a total geek, I am Net Admin. I enjoy all branches of art such as music, poetry, dancing, acting. I can always appreciate a good joke.

I have a little acting experience myself since I was in drama in elementary and high school, also, I did own a record label.

I don't watch much TV since I barely have time to do it, however, someone recommended that I should watch The Walking Dead, and I started to watch it last year since I saw it in my Netflix. I have loved this show ever since.  I had never heard of Michael Rooker until I saw him play Merle. Since season 1, since the roof top I loved his character and very much anticipated his return. Many characters that I have loved have come and gone such as Dale, Shane , TDog and even Axel.  However, those characters served their purpose in the show and it was sad to see them go but I never got so upset. However, Merle was so different. This character was very important to the plot and its not fair that he died so early. I understand that with the show anyone can go.

Merle Dixon's advocate:

This character never really got a chance. Sure, he kinda' redeemed himself in his last episode. But this character was a product of his environment. He grew up with a rough father. He was responsible for his brother and then the world turns horrible with the apocalypse happening... he looses his brother and his hand.  The man that he trusted "The Governor" frames him and calls him a traitor before everyone in Woodbury. He finally finds his brother but was in a rough situation where everyone looks down on him and look at him as if he was the "Devil" as he said. He was sort of outcasted and lonely.  Merle wasn't a bad person and I know that since Season 1. He was a douche but not a villain, he was just rough because of how he grew up.  This character was very important and had so much more to offer. He needed to find  love, he needed to be accepted so he can feel what a family was like. He never got that. Even Daryl was sketchy about him. The last social words he remember was Michonne telling him that not even Daryl would mourn him. Merle wasn't perfect but he did what he could with what he had. He was a bit unstable but so is Rick. He also died with no dignity, the governor bit off his remaining fingers.... and he missed the shot too? In reality, if Merle was alive he would have never ever missed that shot. He had been trained. Even with one hand missing he would have killed the governor.
